The first heist happened at M&T Bank on Montgomery Avenue around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, according to Montgomery County Police.

Investigators say the suspect walked in, placed a handgun on the counter, and demanded cash, and the teller handed over the money, and the man fled with an undisclosed amount.

Just six days later, around 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, the same suspect reportedly struck again—this time at Capital One Bank on Connecticut Avenue.

This time, police say the suspect brandished a handgun, demanded cash, and left with stolen money.

Detectives believe the same man is responsible for both robberies.

The suspect is described as a Black man with a dark complexion, who is approximately 50 to 60 years old, and is between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division.
